I really like what you're written here. Rather than trying to "separate the art from the artist", we can understand the art thru the lens of the artist, even if would arguable be better than the art had never been made. We can also see our own flaws reflected back to us in artwork made by other flawed people.
That section at the beginning about caricatures of autistic body language certainly brings back…
