Busyness, distraction, tiredness, lack of value or respect for grocery store workers, lack of clarity about where the carts go or whose “job” it is to return them, being in a hurry, etc. some of these are problems that require making it easier and clearer to figure out what to do with the carts, some of these are larger problems of capitalism overworking us, overloading us, and teaching us to undervalue retail workers.
