Hi L., I actually disagree. “Cockholster” is really dehumanizing language, and almost always used in a derogatory sense. Colbert has a history of making jokes about trans women, as well, so I’m skeptical of his acceptance for queer people. I think, like a lot of liberal cis straight guys, he thinks he’s tolerant, but he still has an initial gut-level revulsion to queer people, and that leaks out in his humor sometimes.
