Honestly, the structure and regularity of military life sounds super appealing -- I've found as an adult (and after lots of fits and starts and failed attempts at living in other ways) that when I have an external structure around me to help ground my life, I am a lot healthier and happier. I wish there were more ways to find that structure and network of support and responsibility outside of school, the military, etc. Mostly trying to set up that kind of foundation in my relationships these days. It's amazing how much once I'm soothed by that predictability, I can focus and think more clearly on the topics I find fulfilling.
