I actually got a lot of negative comments from women on my Aziz Ansari piece. Lots of women wanted to tell me that I needed to be tougher and more assertive. Also, I’m not a woman. So this is not an example of women hating on other women. Though I definitely saw a lot of that in response to the essay by “Grace”, the woman who wrote about her assault by Ansari. Lots of women were very judgmental towards her in a way that just broke my heart. It’s so vile when that happens.
