I fail to see any sign of laziness or lack of motivation here. It’s a problem of values, not motivation. A person who has the energy and time to do dishonest work really well is not lazy; the problem is not convincing them to be less diligent in their efforts, but to value completely different efforts.

An example of a lazy person would be someone who makes a living via credit/debit card fraud. This is a person who has decided that they will not actually work a job and instead survive off the backs of everyone who IS working. This is not a person who is unmotivated. This is not a person who is struggling to overcome procrastination. This is someone actively refuses, everyday, to put forth legitimate effort because he/she has decided that it’s a much better idea to let everyone else put forth said effort.
