It is definitely intersectional. When a Black man has white female victims, he tends to face consequences. When the victims are Black girls or women, people absolutely tend to devalue them and support their abuser — Chris Brown is another example of that, though obviously Rihanna was an adult. It’s also the case that when a Black man is a victim of assault — see Terry Crews — he tends to be disbelieved and devalued as well.
