I absolutely ought to have mentioned my white privilege, that is an enormous factor in how I am treated and how I’m able to move through society. It’s a testament to just how privileged I am that I didn’t mention it here. Thank you for bringing that up. My experiences are definitely not universal, even to other white afab enbies, and it’s not my goal here to represent what other people have experienced, and I don’t want to erase anybody else’s.
