Overpopulation is not the problem so much as a lack of equitable resource allocation. I do think people should ponder whether they are only having kids because it is expected of them or to fill an existential void — but of course I support anyone who does make that choice, I want them to have everything they need to give their kids comfortable happy lives. We were all taught overpopulation is a growing concern but I think that was just capitalism trying to justify itself and blame its victims.
