Thank you for this comment James! I had kind of wondered if this sort of neighborhood dynamic was common in some pockets of New York, or had been before it became as oppressively expensive to live in as so much of it now is. It's very meaningful, though also very bittersweet, to inhabit this neighborhood and see it in is full vibrancy before it's been fully changed.
