That's not what Old Apartment is about, theyve given many interviews about it. But it is meant to sound that way at first blush. At any rate, I enjoy and appreciate the fact that their work explores the psychology of imperfect and sometimes terrible people. This is a very normal thing for a fictional work to do, and their songs voice characters pretty clearly. I'm sure you don't believe any of them have or endorse falling asleep and dying in a car crash though they also have a song about that.
