The horror stories I hear from Autistic people (and other ND people) who have been abused, gaslit, invalidated, and insulted by their psychiatrist are numerous. I wish this kind of advice weren't necessary, but I know too many people who have faced severe consequences for trusting a psychiatrist who wasn't worthy of that trust to not share it.
