Yeah, the rights of people to practice their religions should only extend as far as they're not impinging on the rights and wellbeing of others, IMO, and the negative impact this is having on Amish kids is pretty clear. It seems like we might even need the communities surrounding Amish country to provide resources for those who have left that world, to help them transition to education, work, dealing with technology, a new culture, etc, now that you mention all of this! Though having grown up in Ohio not too far from Amish country, I know for a fact that most of the villages and small towns near Amish communities can't afford to provide the life transition & education resources many of these people might need.
